Active isomer at AMPA receptors; also inhibits CaCI2-dependent [3H]-glutamate binding, but less than the (R)-form. Acts as an agonist at native group 1 metabotropic glutamate receptors, but as an antagonist at cloned mGlu1a receptors. Soluble in dilute base. Store at room temperature.
